I am 28 years old and my name is Amanda. I am from Germany and I moved to the US in year 2000 together with my mom and dad. I have tried living in fields and farms and grasslands. I have lived among the trees, I have slept under the stars and I have camped beside a river. In 2002, my mom died from cancer, and the home that we have tried to build in America for two years almost did not push through. I knew that the world is waiting and I felt like my mom was pushing me into the dream that I have always had since I was a child. I am obsessed with painting, drawing, graphic design and printing them out and selling them.

It is literally the only way I know how to make money without spending too much on materials – just pure talent. I have tried working in different jobs for a span of three years. I also experienced working in a publishing house, an advertising agency and even in a golf course. I took short courses in graphic design and illustration. I started my custom postcard printing business back in 2005 when I finally decided on what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. I spend less than a month in buying the necessary materials for my business like a couple of postcard printers, papers, pens, pencils, envelopes, etc. It was a lot of fun planning the business but running it is difficult but more rewarding than having a job.
